Men Going Home

TIM KANE

March 1, 2023
Tim Kane was only 14 years old when he was peer pressured to break into a house he thought was vacant. Little did he know his life was about to change forever. This is his story…

LARRY DANIEL

January 1, 2022
The Larry Daniel story is a compelling story. He was a black belt karate expert with a bright future. Unfortunately, Larry lost focus and got involved with several drug dealers, selling marijuana and cocaine. One of Larry’s business partners was murdered, and Larry was convicted of first-degree murder. Larry spent 29 years in Florida’s most violent prisons, and openly talks about his crime, his life in prison, and his transition back into society after so many years in prison

TAYLOR WELLS

January 1, 2022
Taylor Wells was an 18 year-old high school student who was peer pressured into driving several guys he recently met to buy some marijuana. While Taylor waited in the car, the guys he drove, robbed the drug dealers at gunpoint, and one of the dealer’s friends, who was just visiting, was shot and killed. Because Taylor drove the vehicle, he was convicted of armed robbery and first-degree felony murder, and he was sentenced to life in prison.
Taylor spent 28 years in prison and was paroled in 2021.

Our Mission

Our Mission/Our Purpose

The purpose of Men Going Home is multi-faceted.  Our Voices of Time Gavel Club provides a forum to teach incarcerated men how to speak, listen and think, so their speaking and communication skills improve, while also gaining tremendous confidence and self-esteem.

We also prepare adolescents and teenagers to fend off peer pressure and make smart decisions that will not negatively impact their future.

By sharing the video stories of men, who received lengthy prison sentences for bad choices made in their youth, Men Going Home focuses on educating parents, teachers, students,  and anyone interested in the future of this country’s youth.

Our Goal

Our goal with these videos is to illustrate the consequences of breaking the law and being present with others who are breaking the law, and to prevent teenagers and adolescents from making bad choices and bad decisions that will lead to long periods of incarceration.
